The Regional Director of Learning and Talent Development is responsible for the implementation and follow-through of all educational programs throughout their region. The Director of Regional Learning & Talent Development leads the entire learning and talent function for the Southeast Region. This role is also responsible for the supervision, coaching, and development of the Regional Learning & Talent Development Team in the Southeast. This role partners very closely with the Sr. Regional Leadership team members across the entire Southeast to identify training needs, and to ensure the highest caliber execution of LPCs learning and talent programs throughout the region. This role has a broad scope of influence over their assigned region through diagnosis of training challenges and recommendations for appropriate learning & development solutions. This role also partners closely with the National Learning Team to provide feedback on curriculum and to bring forth training needs that need to be addressed through future learning programs. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities Ensures the Regional Learning team is successfully executing learning courses throughout the region in a timely and effective manner. Oversees reporting on learning & talent programs for the Southeast region and consistently provides input and metrics to Regional Leadership on overall performance of properties participating in learning & talent programs. Regularly partners and consults with VPs in the region to identify individual and team performance needs and solutions that will increase associate effectiveness. Has consistent touch points with all VPs in the region to stay connected to training needs within each market. Provides training support to the Regional Leadership team for regional meetings and team development events as needed. Facilitates assigned learning & talent development programs, workshops, events, and activities as needed. Drives greater understanding and use of LPCs training programs, tools, and resources to ensure consistency in language, models, and tools across the region. Uses effective strategies to evaluate training program effectiveness, and uses analytics, training metrics and trends to recommend modifications, enhancements, or changes to LPC Learning & Talent Development programs. Frequently observes the facilitation and effectiveness of the Regional Learning team to ensure training sessions are being implemented as designed, and that Regional Learning team members are receiving ongoing coaching, support, and feedback on their performance. Qualifications Role Requirements A minimum of 4 years of classroom training experience with demonstrated success facilitating both in-person and virtual training required. Experience in creating effective presentations and training program materials is strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of team supervision/people leadership experience. Frequent travel is required for this role to conduct necessary meetings, 1:1s and training activities as needed. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a classroom environment and facilitate pre-designed learning programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated effective organization and time management practices. Strong level of professionalism, presence, poise, persuasiveness. Ability to gain an in-depth understanding and analyze key business drivers, strategy goals, and challenges to effectively support LPC initiatives. Demonstrated track record of establishing a high level of credibility quickly; appropriate confidence to gain the trust and respect of key stakeholders and leaders. Negotiates well in difficult situations, with a deep sensitivity to cultural and regional differences. Education & Certification Requirements Bachelors degree in any of the following areas preferred: Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Business Management, Communications, or related field. Training & Facilitation Certificate from ATD preferred, not required. Associate or Certified Professional in Talent Development (APTD/CPTD) Certification preferred and/or highly encouraged but not required.
